This is my submission for Flourishes Christmas spirit Challenge. I was trying to come up with an idea to go with the challenge of featuring a flower while I was going through my paper stash, when I came upon this paper from MME (My Mind's Eye)"Lush" collection. I love this flocked paper but I hadn't touched it for lack of ideas on how to use it, but when I pulled out my "Sweet Pea" stamp from Flourishes, I KNEW it would work!
I used strong coloring because the paper is strong and so are the two ribbons and pearls. I colored it all in with my Tombow numbers: 772, 850 & 098. I usually use alot of colors for blending, but I kept it pretty strong and blended very little. I used my craft knife and cut it out and placed popdots under it, so it wouldn't look so flat under the frame. I sponged the background, under the flowers, with Versa Magic "Pixie Dust" on top of Neenah "Solar White" paper. I used Nestabilties to make the frame, with the Solar White. The pink flat ribbon is from My Favorite Things, The ruffled ribbon is a Garage Sale find (I LOVE it! LOL), the pink pearls are from Prima, and the hat pin is a find from a scrap shop while on a trip overseas.
This Sweet Pea stamp, from Flourishes,is one of my first stamp purchases from them, and although it's an "oldie" it's still a lovely "goodie" I have to admit that I haven't picked it up in some time, and if it wasn't for this challenge, I probably wouldn't have used it anytime soon :( I really don't have that many stamps so I should be able to use what I do have more frequently. I love how this card turned out, so I'll have to remember to think of how to use each stamp in different ways and try to use them at least once a month or so

Very feminine and beautiful! Great ribbon treatment on the bottom and your flourished pearls with the peas is awesome. I also have to say I love the framing you gave the sweet peas... Just beautiful.

WOW!! This is one of my favorite Flourish stamps. I love the pretty pink that you have done this in. The bg paper is gorgeous. This is just one of those images you can never tire of. I'm glad you used it. :>)
